The Story of "Joy"

The Girl Who Had to Find Her Voice

I love the life I’ve created for myself today, but it is almost unrecognizable from the life of the girl I once was.

I grew up experiencing things that left me feeling victimized, voiceless, depressed, and financially hopeless. For a long time, I didn’t know how to see beyond the circumstances I was living in. I was surviving, but I wasn’t truly living.

My journey to healing became a journey back to myself. Through stillness, mindfulness, meditation, self-love, and spiritual healing, I slowly began to understand my worth, find my voice, and believe that I could create something different.

It wasn’t an overnight transformation. It was a process of learning, unlearning, growing, and choosing myself again and again.

And in that process, I discovered something that would change the direction of my life: healing is not just about overcoming what happened to us. It is about discovering who we can become because of it.

The Life I Once Couldn’t Imagine

Today, I genuinely love the life I’ve created.

I’ve cultivated a deeper relationship with myself and built healthy, loving relationships that I consider among my greatest treasures. My husband and I share our life with our two children and his son, and we live, work, and play in the beautiful Los Angeles suburbs.

We love traveling, being involved in our community, and simply enjoying the everyday moments that make a life meaningful. I find so much joy in continuing to learn about myself and the people I love, day by day, moment by moment.

Professionally, my lived experience has become the foundation of my work. As the founder of The Joy I’ve Found, I advocate for healing-centered education, family wellness, resilience, and trauma-informed care.

I create spaces where educators, parents, organizations, and communities can access practical tools for emotional well-being, personal growth, and meaningful transformation.

The girl who once felt she had no voice could never have imagined the life I’m living today.

My Voice Is My Gift

Finding my voice was once part of my healing.

Now, sharing my voice is part of my purpose.

Through my published books, meditations, spiritual practices, and transformational work, I want to reach people who may be where I once was: struggling to see their own worth, searching for peace, or wondering if a different life is possible.

I believe every person carries an inner voice, beauty, resilience, and capacity for joy. Sometimes, life experiences can make it difficult to hear them.

My mission is to help people reconnect.

To help them move beyond survival and toward a life that feels authentic, loving, purposeful, and whole.

I share my story not because my journey was perfect, but because I know firsthand that transformation is possible.

I found my voice.
I found my joy.
And now, I want to help others find theirs.

The Joy'Ive Found

The Joy I’ve Found was created from a deeply personal journey of childhood abuse, pain, healing, self-discovery, and choosing joy even through life’s hardest moments.

Today, it has grown into a mission-driven platform that supports families, educators, and communities through trauma-informed education, meditation, wellness practices, and transformational guidance.

We understand that healing is not one-size-fits-all. It is personal, layered, and ongoing. That is why our work is rooted in compassion, cultural awareness, emotional safety, and practical tools that people can actually use in real life.

At The Joy I’ve Found, we believe joy is not shallow or performative. Joy is strength. Joy is healing. Joy is resilience. Joy is how we reconnect with ourselves and with one another.

Be Part of the Journey

Healing becomes even more powerful when we create space for others to heal, grow, and find their voice too.

Whether you’re looking to bring healing-centered work into your school, organization, family, or community, want to support the mission, or simply need a place to begin your own journey, there’s a way to connect.
